This incident has now been resolved upstream and creating templates should now function normally again.

The issue should now be resolved. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and are discussing with upstream providers to ensure this does not happen again.

We have also cancelled our maintenance deployments this evening to prevent any further risk of disruptions today.

We've rolled back an earlier deployment and service should start to return to normal. The issue was caused by a code change in our ticket service that did not function as expected between our staging and production environments. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
